Co-Delivery for Accounting Firms

Win the clients you’d otherwise have to turn away.

Co-delivery for accounting firms means you keep the client while we handle the platform switch behind the scenes. Every quarter, accounting firms lose deals that should have closed. The prospect is a strong fit. The pricing works. The relationship is right. Then the firm asks what they’re running on, and the conversation goes sideways. They’re on Sage Intacct, you’re a QuickBooks shop. They’re on NetSuite, your team doesn’t touch ERP. They’re on Dynamics GP, your tech stack doesn’t include it. The deal moves to the next firm on their list.

SaaS Direct removes that barrier. We migrate new client books from any source platform onto the system your firm is built around, so platform mismatch stops costing you accounts.

Lost Deals

The Lost Deal You’re Tired of Losing

A referral lands in your firm’s pipeline. Discovery goes well. Pricing aligns. The prospect wants to switch. Then they mention the system they’re currently on, and now you’re in one of two bad positions.

Walk Away

You walk away from the deal, knowing a competitor will close it.

Take It Anyway

You take the deal anyway and absorb the operational drag, retraining your team on a system you don’t specialize in, slowing down your standard onboarding, and putting the relationship at risk before it even starts.

Both options cost you. The first costs you a client. The second costs you margin, team morale, and delivery quality on every other client in your book.

A $30k/yr client lost to a platform mismatch is $150k over five years.

Process

How Co-Delivery for Accounting Firms Works

The model is straightforward. You qualify and close the client on your terms. We handle the system transition before you start serving them.

01

You qualify the client

Your firm

You qualify the client and define the destination platform (the system your firm operates on). You’re included on the qualification call from the start.

02

You introduce SaaS Direct

Your firm

You introduce SaaS Direct as your migration partner during onboarding or scoping. You’re cc’d on the intro and every message that follows.

03

We execute the migration

SaaS Direct

We execute the migration from the client’s current platform to your preferred stack. Typical timelines are 4-6 weeks for standard scopes, with multi-entity engagements running 6-10 weeks. You get a status update at every migration milestone.

04

You onboard the client

Your firm

You onboard the client on your standard stack, the way you do every other engagement. We stay available if migration questions come up during onboarding.

05

Ongoing support

Optional

We can stay involved for technology advisory, integration work, or system optimization, or hand off completely. Your call.

Source Systems

Source Platforms We Move From

We move clients off virtually any general ledger or ERP platform, including

If a client is on a platform we haven’t named, ask. We’ve executed migrations off 90+ source systems.

Destination Systems

Destination Platforms We Move To

If your firm specializes in any of these, we can land your client there

Why SaaS Direct

Why Firms Choose SaaS Direct as a Co-Delivery Partner

We don’t compete with you

We have no bookkeeping arm, no fractional CFO offering, no tax practice. Your client stays your client.

15,000+ migrations executed

Across SMB, mid-market, multi-entity, and franchise environments. Whatever you’re handing us has likely been done before.

Big 4 trained team

Audit defensibility, controls discipline, and reporting integrity are not afterthoughts. They’re the methodology.

Single accountable partner

One point of contact through scoping, execution, and stabilization.

Multi-platform fluency

We’re not a QuickBooks shop or a NetSuite shop. We’re a migration shop. That means we can route any client onto your preferred system without bias toward our own technology stack.

Data security is built in

Migrations run over encrypted connections, and access to client data is limited to the engagement team for the duration of the project.

Every migration is validated before handoff

We reconcile trial balances, transaction counts, and account mappings between source and destination, so you’re not taking our word for it.

Co-Delivery

What Makes a Good Co-Delivery Engagement

This model works best when:

  • The destination platform is decided (or the client is open to a recommendation from your firm)
  • The migration scope is bounded (transaction-level data move, not a multi-year transformation)
  • The firm wants to retain the client relationship and ongoing services
  • Speed matters (typical clients need to be operational on the new system within 4 to 10 weeks)

If you’re not sure whether a specific opportunity fits, that’s what the discovery conversation is for.

What Firm Partners Are Saying

Real feedback from the firms we’ve partnered with on client migrations.

“We brought SaaS Direct in to support a client migration where reporting integrity and structural clarity were essential. From planning through execution, the project was managed with strong communication and technical precision. Our client now benefits from cleaner data, improved cross-entity visibility, and a system that supports informed decision-making instead of manual workarounds. From a firm standpoint, that’s the standard we expect in a complex engagement.”

Financial System Migration FAQ

Will you try to take my client?
No. SaaS Direct is a technology execution partner. We don’t offer bookkeeping, controllership, advisory, or tax services. Once the migration is complete and stabilized, we hand the client back to you.
Do I refer the client, or do you work through me?
Your call. Most firms keep us positioned as their migration partner, with all communication routed through the firm. Some firms prefer to introduce us directly and let us scope the migration independently. We support both models.
Do you offer a white-label option?
Yes. For firms that prefer to present the migration as a firm-delivered service, we offer a white-label engagement model.
What does this cost?
Migration scope and pricing depend on the source platform, destination platform, data volume, and timeline. Most engagements fall within a defined band that we can confirm after a 30 minute scoping conversation.
What systems can SaaS Direct migrate from?
SaaS Direct migrates virtually any accounting, ERP, or financial system at the transaction level, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, all Sage products, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, Viewpoint Spectrum, Foundation software, and custom or industry-specific platforms. If your firm’s client is on a system we haven’t listed, ask us. We’ve likely migrated it before.
How quickly can you scope a migration?
Initial scoping calls typically happen within 48 hours of inbound inquiry. A formal proposal with timeline and pricing usually lands within 5 to 7 business days of the scoping conversation.
What’s the typical migration timeline?
Standard scopes: 4 to 6 weeks. Multi-entity or multi-source migrations: 6 to 10 weeks. We design engagement around the client’s close, audit, and reporting calendar so cutover doesn’t disrupt operations.
Do you handle historical data, or just opening balances?
We support both. Standard practice is transaction-level historical migration for at least the current and prior fiscal year, with deeper history scoped based on lender, audit, and reporting requirements.
Is there a referral fee for firms that bring us deals?
Yes. If you’d rather hand off a migration opportunity entirely than co-deliver, our referral program pays firms for closed engagements.
